The viability of commercial, retail, manufacturing and industrial centers, supported by sound infrastructure, has been the defining characteristic of the eastern part of Bangalore. This is the primary reason why this part of Bangalore witnessed rapid development in the past. As a ripple effect, several contiguous regions have stood to undergo significant realty growth and Kadugudi is no exception. As a consequence, this locality has witnessed considerable traction in housing projects borne out by the rental demand.Kadugudi has been the beneficiary of the spin-off effect of the IT hub of Whitefield, which has considerable young working professionals who are scouting for affordable rental properties or otherwise affordable and mid-income residences for purchase. In the first quarter of 2017, Kadugudi remained as one of the top performers in the rental market with an appreciation of 8% annually. The area has been home to a massive spurt in housing projects with the ready-to-move inventory falling below under-construction projects.
